I purchased this item for my wife to give her multiple options for playing music. The sound quality was excellent and it took a bit of use to get familiar with operating it. The main complaint was that the display was way too bright even on its lowest setting. My wife would have to turn it towards the wall.
After owning it for 1 year and 7 months, it completely died, no clock, no radio, nothing. I tried replacing the battery and this did not solve it. I went to Sony's site to see about a repair or replacement, and the option was to return it for a refurbished one for $65.
No thanks. Meanwhile, my GE two-wake clock radio with red display is still going strong after about 20 years.

There aren't a lot of choices for someone who wants to listen to a CD as they fall asleep and wake up to the radio in the morning, but I've been very pleased with this item. I find all of the features beneficial - especially the dual alarms! I don't find the display too bright like those who say it kept them up nights! The size of the display is perfectly readable without my glasses. I'm very pleased with this purchase!! The price was cheaper than my buying it from a local store and delivery was very quick! Thank you Amazon!!!
